Self Cleaning Strainers
Fully automatic self cleaning strainers use an a motorised basket to ensure that the basket surface is swept clean and/or backflushed to ensure continuous operation and minimum maintenance. Control of the backwash cycle is by a differential pressure switch with the option of a timer over-ride, thereby ensuring that the basket is cleaned within a minimum timed frequency. The larger self cleaning strainers normally need pre-screening to a minimum of 12 mm, whilst the smaller and lighter units which are designed for mains water filtration do not require any form of prefiltration.
